Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult ADHD

Dr Aung Tint is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in adult ADHD.
He has been the specialist Consultant Psychiatrist of the Adult ADHD Service in Salford, commissioned by Salford CCG, since 2007. He has worked for the NHS Adult ADHD services in Warrington, Halton, St Helens, and Salford through CCG shared care contracts until 2012. He has also worked as a Consultant in Adult ADHD in the Private Sector.
Dr Tint has had extensive training and experience in ADHD in children as well as in adults, having worked in Child and Adolescent ADHD Teams and Drug Services as a Senior Trainee from 2001 through to 2005, before becoming a Consultant in Adult ADHD and Adult Mental Health.
Dr Tint is actively continuing his professional development with mental health and ADHD related research and audits. He is an active member of the national organisation UKAAN (UK Adult ADHD Network) and North West ADHD peer group.
He has his work published in major peer review journals in the UK and Europe.
Dr Tint also works as a General Adult Psychiatrist in the NHS. He has over 15 years of Consultant experience of working in hospital based acute and community psychiatry, assessing and managing all common mental health conditions including Depression, Psychotic Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorder and PTSD. Dr Tint is actively involved in teaching and training and regularly provides medico-legal reports to Courts, Solicitors and the Probation service having also served many times as an expert witness.
Dr Tint is registered on the specialist register of the General Medical Council. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Based at St James House in Salford, on the outskirts of Manchester, Dr Tint offers ADHD assessment, treatment and follow-up reviews for individuals aged 16 and above on a self-funding basis.
Dr Tint’s services are also employed by NHS trusts, CCGs, Insurance and Health Insurance companies, Solicitors, Prisons and individual self-funding clients.
